I suggest that you run every game you want to play, that does work, the day before you leave to reduce the risk of game needing an internet connection while your away. You will need to test which games allow you to play in offline mode/don't need a connection to run. I have ran the game before but not for several months so there is a time restriction that means it needs a connection every x days/months. Once I ran game in Online mode once it worked when Steam was in offline mode. I know this works as as I've just followed the above steps and loaded up Batman Arkham City without a problem.īatman: Arkham Knight wanted me to have steam in online mode and run the game. Try again or start in offline mode > Start in offline mode > Library > Load gameĮdit: finishing post as I cut it short due to visitors and general tweaking. I just tested it.Ĭlose Steam > Unplug network cable/disable wifi > Load steam > Majority of the games I have are in Steam, so does anyone know how to play Steam games without using Steam? I'm asking this because any game I downloaded from Steam asks me to login to my Steam account, be it an online game or a single player game.Īnd no, the "Put Steam into Offline Mode to play the games without internet" thing does not work, because I need to have internet to do that. You can also purchase Steam games from the Store on the website and immediately begin downloading them, or activate product keys on your Steam account using the the Activate a Product on Steam web page and immediately begin downloading them. I'm going to go somewhere, where there won't be any internet. Originally posted by Epicskunk:Hello everyone.
